Well actually Gersick is a lady, but none the less she wrote an article on deadlines and creativity. One of the concepts she talked about is how groups kept their options open until this midpoint. The middle of the project after which they start hammering out an option. Now all this that she it talking about is done within the business sector (Gersick, 1995). I think it would be interesting to see if this applies in the academic sector as well. I know that my studying didn’t get “better” or more productive after the midpoint in studying. Although I’m not a group either … On the other hand, Mario and I devised an interesting way to remember the PMBoK 9 areas of management. “Is This Shit Really Cool Cus Quality Hurts People” … it’s doesn’t make that much sense but it was funny and entertaining at the time and we will remember it. It stands for Integration, Time, Scope, Risk, Communication, Cost, Quality, Procurement. Anyways I’m not re-taking these exams again and I will pass. Posting now will get me off the hook for a bit so I don’t fall behind on the whole journal assignment.

The thesis work is just starting to resume with Jack back from vacation … I have a lot to say about how the thesis stuff is going along but I just don’t have the time or mental / emotional capacity to be distracted with it now.

Time for sleep then more finals and more studying.
