So I just got back from Bordeaux and I must say it was pretty amazing. It was a long 8 1/2 hour train ride, but it wasn’t to bad. We got to see a lot of the southern countryside. After the long train we got some dinner in the city. We ate at a nice restaurant where I got the thickest steak I’ve ever had in Europe. Later we went to a nice bar. They had some wild drinks, I was able to get a 3 liter beer! Did some dancing, all in all it was a good night. After we went to one of the French students home and spent the night. We stayed up for a few hours talking with the parents and I got to taste some armagnac. Again, an amazing brandy and my new favorite. In the morning we woke up to a typical French breakfast and headed out on our tour of the city. We saw the major sites, and then headed out to the Dunes. The Dunes are an interesting phenomena. You have a few miles of heavy forest, then out of nowhere you have these massive sand dunes near the coast. Pretty wild and I got a ton of great pictures. After that we went back to the house cleaned up and went out and had dinner. The next morning we all got up and …

Arg … I gotta run, Barcelona awaits, I’ll try and post if I get time.
